Crosley record player with cd burner wasn’t what i wanted (though it looked great, reviews weren’t significant plus was a no-name brand which meant system would receive died in a sharp space of time) plus then when i saw this sony record player, i was like hmmm looks good but is it good? I checked reviews here plus 4 out of 5 meant very good so i bought one plus it works very well plus was well goodness my money.
To make sure it worked plus sounded great, i tested the turntable with the 180 gram reissue of led zeppelin’s the song remains the same soundtrack (which i originally bought toward sell but i was like maintenance it plus see if it sounds better than the cd) plus the sound from this turntable was warm, clean plus played each of the notes in entitlement pitch (unlike a bit turntables where it sounded like alvin plus the chipmunks pitch) plus at present am on a quest for more vinyl toward play each at present plus again.
What i also like about this system is it comes with a software toward digitalize your former vinyl albums toward either mp3s for the mp3 players or (in my case) cds plus canful take out each of the crackling plus feedback noises.

Now that may obtain more on do withy theo- fact that i haven’t figured out better settings, or am just completely missing a flash feature i haven’t seen, but in either case, i still need on carry around my digital camera because of night shots. As a video camera, the one stock blows everything out of theo- water that i obtain ever used in theo- video quality department. All in all, i am happy withy my purchase, as a result determination maybe find that theo- one shortfall withy theo- stock is in fact a problem withy theo- user (me) as a result not theo- stock.

I purchased this recorder then i could use speech recognition software if i wanted to, without paying because of every additional microphones/headsets. In fact, the recorder is dragon (a famous brand of speech recognition software) certified toward produce “maximum accuracy dictation.”
Functionally, this recorder obtain one easy toward reach (i.e. No plastic cover on it) usb port on the left hand side, one easy-to-distinguish recessed record button, buttons toward navigate between folders, play back existing recordings, split one existing recording, change recorder options, change playback volume, erase one existing recording, and a hold button. The recorder itself is small, lightweight and easy toward hold.
For storage, the recorder tin hold as many as 99 separate recordings inside each of 5 independent folders. This is useful toward categorize various voice recordings, so much as meetings inside one folder perhaps speeches inside another.
However, one easy toward use recorder is meaningless if the recorder doesn’t produce good recording quality. Here, this recorder delivers nicely. When i recorded a brief amount inside this mode, my voice sounded exactly the same metallic and i heard weird high pitched metallic warbling inside the background. There was somewhat less warbling at low microphone sensitivity, except although my voice was understandable, except i don’t recommend this mode because of every real recording. The metallic warbling is exactly the same distracting.
In addition, the recorder tin bootleg on rechargable aaa batteries (nimh) or even bootleg from power provided over the mini-usb port. These are good options toward save on batteries and perform exactly the same long recordings.
In my experience, the standard quality is fine because of normal dictation. If i wanted toward record music, evps, or because of dictation into speech recognition software, i would use the maximum quality mode, since it is better at capturing higher frequencies and may better capture faint noises.
However, there are a bit downsides toward this recorder. First, the recorder does not record data natively as mp3s (which it claims toward on the box). This is why i gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
To access the recorder, Sony ICD-PX720 provides windows software toward copy voice files off it. The windows software tin reserve the files as mp3s, as well as encode mp3s then the recorder tin play them back, so, if you are not using windows, you cannot transfer recordings from the recorder.
Basically, if you are using windows the recorder software is not a problem. If you are not, the computer will not see the recorder and you will be unable toward use it. The recorder will still function exactly the same well as a normal voice recorder, except you will not be able toward access the digital data on it.
Secondly, the recorder cannot accept every type of memory card toward expand its capacity.
Beyond that, this recorder does not record sound inside stereo, although it will accept stereo microphones. For me, since i’m only using it because of voice dictation, this is not one issue, except because of anyone who wants toward use it toward record music (such as one impromptu jazz session), it might be.
Finally, the recorder does not act as a usb drive or as one mp3 player. You tin load music files (converted toward sony’s proprietary sound format) onto it, except it doesn’t have shuffle, playlists, or other standard mp3 player features. For me, these aren’t issues since i have separate gadgets toward fulfill these needs far better, except a bit voice recorders have these features.
In conclusion, if you are using windows and you need a high quality, reasonably priced voice recorder, this will fit the bill nicely. If you want a recorder that is more of a swiss army knife of gadgets, this won’t work because of you.
